Magnify Infinity

Walking down the road and thinking ‘bout belief,
You say you got that true religion and all the rest is deceit.
But you can find it way up on the sun…
MAGNIFY INFINITY,
tell my exactly what do you see?
FIND ETERNAL SYMMETRY,
send a little back to me.
ALL THAT LIVES INQUISITIVE
IS FREE FROM COUNTERFEIT BELIEF
THESE ASSUMPTIONS GET DEBUNKED NOW
EACH DAY ROLLING ROUND THE SUN…
I see it tangle and rip,
in a scrapbook sham keep autonomy in your script.
Stepping outta your cage,
don’t burn out fast, get slack on a stranger’s page.
And whatever the time,
the frostbite life be pedalling a different line.
Imitating the heat,
no floors, just soapbox soars sticking to your feet.
Now I couldn’t buy a word you sell,
It’s a gamblers’ queue at the wishing well,
And way down deep it don’t get cheap,
and secrets like to stay discreet.
YEAH….
I’M A RAUCOUS OPTIMIST,
A TOURIST TO THESE TROUBLED TIMES.
DISAPPEARING COSMIC CEILINGS,
RAISE THE ROOF AND MAKE A SCENE.
And MAGNIFY INFINITY,
tell me exactly what do you see?
FIND ETERNAL SYMMETRY,
send a little back to me.
PULL THE SKY THROUGH A NEEDLE’S EYE,
all the patterns that divide and they multiply.
MAGNIFY INFINITY,
nothing like a sight to believe, YEAH…
Jumping straight off the map,
I leave the mundane plane like a cannonball holograph.
I don’t mind the debris,
I keep a pinstripe strut when I’m kicking ‘bout litter in jeans
And down every street,
contort and stiffen, just mimicking grey concrete.
Might as well be a grave,
ain’t no life if you’re living in a pavement cave.
Getting back to all that’s been,
Ooo yes, and thinking how it’s gonna end,
Well the sky sure gonna come tumbling down,
And the water gonna take back all the ground.
Trying to preach what you have found,
Some people just jumping up and down,
Well the more you leap in your pulpit
The faster it’s going to sink and slip.
YEAH…
ALL THAT LIVES INQUISITIVE
IS FREE FROM COUNTERFEIT BELIEF
SHUN THE STATIC STATISTICS
THAT LURK IN DYNAMO DISGUISE…
I’ve seen the greatest sights, I had to leave behind
Now I’m rolling on my way back home, yes and I’m feeling fine.
‘Cept the boots on my feet and the clothes on my back,
I’m all but a ticket to roll down the track...
MAGNIFY INFINITY,
QUENCH YOUR CURIOSITY.
FIND ETERNAL SYMMETRY,
Jump, hop, skip, bounce to the rhythm.
SILVER BELLS AND PINS THAT TINGLE
FROM MY FINGER TIPS TO TOES.
WRITE YOURSELF A TELEGRAM
WHEN POSTCARDS OF PERCEPTION FAIL.

Concerning how we all conduct
our affections so dubious.
I meant precisely this:
it’s vague, unclear ambiguous.
Yeah, you got an appetite
but can’t commit to a fork or a knife.
And if you really wanna clear your plate,
I’d quit skipping round in a playground chase.
Now I’d love to celebrate those duos who go unexpressed,
But it’s kept so wrapped up tight, confined to the wilderness.
When bygones become
tighter it excites you,
but it could mean anything
so take a guess,
am I an apple one day
and a gooseberry the next? Cos…
AMBIGUITY IS KILLING ME,
AMBIGUITY IS KILLING ME.
Hey, I’m about to lose my cool
at these unwritten rules
And every little bit of innocence diminishing
in the cynicism I’m witnessing, everything indistinct.
I’m fine with anything you do,
but mama didn’t raise no fool
And it’s strange, so be brave,
and dare to be a pair un-vague.
There’s nothing wrong with casual,
but even that’s become equivocal
but you better know that I can count because
two is for you, and three’s a crowd, and I’m out.
And I’m down,
an amount of subtlety abound,
for now that’s everything of my chest,
but could I clarify and just express that…
AMBIGUITY IS KILLING ME,
AMBIGUITY IS KILLING ME.
Yeah I know it’s none of my business,
‘Course I know it’s none of my business,
Excuse me if I take an interest,
Everywhere I go it’s all I witness.
…It’s complicated

It’s got old friends, it’s got deep ends,
and anything that you wanna do.
There’s people being sequels
of everything that they couldn’t be.
Distraction spreading fashion
like disease at the swimming pool
Won’t you come on down,
I could show you round…
HEY! Is this a place that you’ve been?
For those who don’t know let me set the scene.
The river done run right under the bridge.
Now it’s not quite a city, not quite a village.
Opinionated, belligerent,
Everybody selling some intoxicant
There’s bikes at every corner and the punts to beyond,
There’s cows on the Common and swans at the pond
Full of eccentricities. Got a parrot vocabulary
Of all the places I could call my home, do I belong any more?
Got me living in a two faced town.
Caught me living in a two face town.
Makes me wonder why would I stick around?
In a comfortable rut,
The buildings are old, city full of dust
Band wagons roll by tugging Charlie-Trains
I’ve seen blue-print life styles, social clichés
A big bone, a dirty big bone,
A great big low down mojo-bone
Well the city’s got talent and the city’s got skill
bouncing off the walls of the bubbles they build.
Well your mother and your uncle and your cousin and your lover
Oooo my my, everybody knows each other.
Stabbing backs and talking shit, it’s life inside the Petri-dish
Got me living in a two faced town.
Caught me living in a two faced town.
Makes me wonder why would I stick around.
It’s got shared meat, it’s got bare feet,
And anything that you wanna do.
There’s vultures picking culture
cleaner than the kitchen sink.
Sandpaper against nature
in a garden that’s sinking fast.
Won’t you come on down,
I could show you round.

DAFM Cambridge, UK
DAFM's music combines hard rock, flamboyant funk and soulful blues with abstract lyricism and the occasional dash of
tasteful psychedelia; a joyous mixing pot of the old and the new that never takes itself too seriously.
Outrageously colourful shirts, shambolic dance routines and groovy improvisational tangents are all standard fare during their raucous live shows. All round good-time party music!
